Tinariwen, music from the Sahara

Tinariwen, music from the Sahara, has a new album being released today in the USA and is on a world tour. They won a Grammy award for best world music in 2011. If you like the blues and reggae, you will enjoy this. Band members have a fascinating history, read it and learn a little more about the Sahara. If you choose to go on our yoga adventure/camel trek in the Sahara in Sept. 2014, you will hear similar music from our guides who will chant, drum and play similar music. The band is playing in several California cities, Denver, CO, and Minneapolis, MN. I am going to Joshua Tree National Park in CA for my own USA desert experience. The desert is lovely in the Spring. Join me if you want to come along on April 20th to Pappy and Harriet's Palace in Pioneertown, CA. This should be a "Wild West" experience. There is even a hotel there with rooms called Roy Rogers, Gene Autry, etc., for those of you who have enjoyed the old cowboy TV shows and movies.
